Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Hilary Pecis achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in October 2021. In the Contemporary Art Evening Auction auction, the work Summer Patio sold for GBP 201,600.00 (€ 238,841.55) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hilary Pecis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fish and Bird in March last year with an auction result of GBP 942,500.00 (€ 1,117,439.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hilary Pecis erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Evening Auction wurde die Arbeit Summer Patio für GBP 201.600,00 (€ 238.841,55) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 70.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hilary Pecis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fish and Bird im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 942.500,00 (€ 1.117.439,83).
