Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Aegean Sea, Pilion, from "Time Exposed" by Hiroshi Sugimoto was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in October 2021. The price achieved of USD 4,080.00 (€ 3,531.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hiroshi Sugimoto achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Black Sea, Ozuluce; Yellow Sea, Cheju; Red Sea, Safaga in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 1,888,000.00 (€ 1,403,404.45).
