A top price for Huang Guanyu - as previously expected

In October 2015 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Asian Art, which included the work The Young by Huang Guanyu. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 812,500.00 (€ 94,921.66) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Young is the most expensive artwork by Huang Guanyu that we have observed at auctions so far.

Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage

Im Oktober 2015 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Young von Huang Guanyu zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 800.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 812.500,00 (€ 94.921,66) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist The Young das teuerste Kunstwerk von Huang Guanyu, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
