Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2020 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Calligraphy by Huang Jie. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 12,500.00 (€ 1,435.76) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huang Jie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poem In Kaishu in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 21,905.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2020 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy von Huang Jie zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 12.500,00 (€ 1.435,76) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Huang Jie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poem In Kaishu im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 21.905,00).
