Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Flying Komarov – The Complete Album of 32 Original Drawings by Ilya Kabakov was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Russian Art from a Private Collection auction at Sothebys in London in December 2021. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 200,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 214,200.00 (€ 255,495.67). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ilya Kabakov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Beetle in February 2008 with an auction result of GBP 2,932,500.00 (€ 3,835,594.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Flying Komarov – The Complete Album of 32 Original Drawings von Ilya Kabakov wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Russian Art from a Private Collection bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 200.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 214.200,00 (€ 255.495,67) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ilya Kabakov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Beetle im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.932.500,00 (€ 3.835.594,92).
