Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 VAN HAM in Cologne held the auction Photography | ONLINE ONLY, which included the work Ohne Titel (Soho-IM-M25). by Inge Morath. The price achieved of EUR 1,342.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Inge Morath - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mrs Eveleigh Nash with her chauffeur, at Buckingham Palace Mall, 1953, which sold at auction in May 2010 for GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,125.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2020 führte VAN HAM in Köln die Auktion Photography | ONLINE ONLY durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ohne Titel (Soho-IM-M25). von Inge Morath zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.342,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Inge Morath mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mrs Eveleigh Nash with her chauffeur, at Buckingham Palace Mall, 1953 beobachtet, die im Mai 2010 für GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.125,92) versteigert wurde.
