This work without title by Izumi Kato was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2013. It achieved a price of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 45,075.03), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 70%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Izumi Kato achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in April this year with an auction result of HKD 1,560,000.00 (€ 1,593,065.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 70 % übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Izumi Kato wurde im Oktober 2013 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 45.075,03) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 70%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Izumi Kato erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.560.000,00 (€ 1.593.065,22).
