Auction result well in line with expectations
The work "Arcane de la solitude" by Jacques Doucet was sold in the Modern Art + Design auction at Bukowski in Stockholm in November 2021. The price achieved of SEK 46,000.00 (€ 4,487.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as SEK 40,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques Doucet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tauromachie Ou Toreador, 1953 in October 2011 with an auction result of EUR 198,810.00.

Die Arbeit "Arcane de la solitude" von Jacques Doucet wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Modern Art + Design bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von SEK 46.000,00 (€ 4.487,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit SEK 40.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacques Doucet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tauromachie Ou Toreador, 1953 im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 198.810,00.
