Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by James Havard could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in September 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Collection of Allan Stone, Vol. III auction, the work Mimbres Notes changed hands for USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,576.62) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Other works by James Havard have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in September 2007 by the work Cree Camp at USD 12,500.00 (€ 8,791.05).
