Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2005 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work Fishermen Selling Their Catch At A Riverside Cottage by Jan van der Bent. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,400.00 (€ 12,340.66). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jan van der Bent - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A capriccio of a Mediterranean harbour with elegant travellers, a moor and an oriental merchants, and other figues, which sold at auction in July 2000 for GBP 18,800.00 (€ 30,399.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fishermen Selling Their Catch At A Riverside Cottage von Jan van der Bent zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.400,00 (€ 12.340,66) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Jan van der Bent mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A capriccio of a Mediterranean harbour with elegant travellers, a moor and an oriental merchants, and other figues beobachtet, die im Juli 2000 für GBP 18.800,00 (€ 30.399,35) versteigert wurde.
