This artwork by Jan Weenix achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in July 2018. In the Old Masters Day Sale auction, the work Still Life With A Dead Partridge, On A Forest Floor sold for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,030.50) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jan Weenix have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A sunflower, roses, parrot tulips, a carnation and other flowers in a glass vase on a partly draped marble table in July 2000 with an auction result of GBP 135,750.00 (€ 219,505.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jan Weenix erzielte im Juli 2018 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masters Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Still Life With A Dead Partridge, On A Forest Floor für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.030,50) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jan Weenix auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A sunflower, roses, parrot tulips, a carnation and other flowers in a glass vase on a partly draped marble table im Juli 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 135.750,00 (€ 219.505,96).
