Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le Marche Aux Ânes A Marrakech, 1921 by Jean Berque was sold in the Modern Art auction at Artcurial in Paris in February 2007. The price achieved of EUR 1,295.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,200.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean Berque - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The harbor of Marseille, which sold at auction in February 2011 for USD 4,000.00 (€ 2,900.02).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.295,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.200,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden.
