Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jean-Charles Blais achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Amsterdam in March 2010. In the THE BAT ARTVENTURE COLLECTION formerly known as THE PETER STUYVESANT COLLECTION auction, the work French Untitled sold for EUR 17,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jean-Charles Blais - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Loin vite, which sold at auction in May this year for EUR 35,280.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean-Charles Blais erzielte im März 2010 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion THE BAT ARTVENTURE COLLECTION formerly known as THE PETER STUYVESANT COLLECTION wurde die Arbeit French Untitled für EUR 17.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jean-Charles Blais mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Loin vite beobachtet, die im Mai diesen Jahres für EUR 35.280,00 versteigert wurde.
