Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%

This artwork by Jean Dubuffet achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June this year. In the Art contemporain - Vente du soir auction, the work La vie interne du minéral sold for EUR 1,431,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 650,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Dubuffet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paris Polka in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 24,805,000.00 (€ 22,562,306.71).

Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jean Dubuffet erzielte im Juni diesen Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Art contemporain - Vente du soir wurde die Arbeit La vie interne du minéral für EUR 1.431.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 650.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Dubuffet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paris Polka im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 24.805.000,00 (€ 22.562.306,71).
