Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Artcurial held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Site avec 8 personnages - 1981 by Jean Dubuffet. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 180,000.00 – 280,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 183,680.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean Dubuffet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paris Polka in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 24,805,000.00 (€ 22,562,306.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Artcurial die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Site avec 8 personnages - 1981 von Jean Dubuffet zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 180.000,00 – 280.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 183.680,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean Dubuffet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paris Polka im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 24.805.000,00 (€ 22.562.306,71).
