This artwork by Marcel Cosson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in August 2013. In the Interiors auction, the work L'Escalier Du Ballet sold for USD 5,250.00 (€ 3,978.48) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Marcel Cosson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A La Brasserie, which sold at auction in December 2007 for EUR 15,850.00.

In der Auktion Interiors wurde die Arbeit L'Escalier Du Ballet für USD 5.250,00 (€ 3.978,48) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Marcel Cosson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A La Brasserie beobachtet, die im Dezember 2007 für EUR 15.850,00 versteigert wurde.
