Auction result well in line with expectations
In July last year Sothebys in Milan held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Ailes by Jean-Paul Riopelle. It changed hands for a price of EUR 176,400.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 130,000.00 – 180,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jean-Paul Riopelle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sans Titre in December 2017 with an auction result of EUR 4,882,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Mailand die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ailes von Jean-Paul Riopelle zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 176.400,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 130.000,00 – 180.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jean-Paul Riopelle erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sans Titre im Dezember 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 4.882.500,00.
