Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Art | Hong Kong, which included the work Bootyboop (Set of Three) by Joan Cornellà. It changed hands for a price of HKD 18,900.00 (€ 2,175.72) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joan Cornellà achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work CCTV (Orange) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 444,000.00 (€ 453,410.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Art | Hong Kong durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bootyboop (Set of Three) von Joan Cornellà zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 18.900,00 (€ 2.175,72) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joan Cornellà erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit CCTV (Orange) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 444.000,00 (€ 453.410,87).
