The auction ended at the price of USD 3,500.00 (€ 2,972.65), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joel-Peter Witkin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Kiss in April 2000 with an auction result of USD 35,250.00 (€ 38,783.14).

Die Arbeit 'Woman In The Blue Hat' von Joel-Peter Witkin kam im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 3.500,00 (€ 2.972,65) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00.
