A top price for Johan Hendrik Kaemmerer - as previously expected
In July 2003 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work Setting out by Johan Hendrik Kaemmerer. The price achieved of EUR 1,075.50 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Setting out is the most expensive artwork by Johan Hendrik Kaemmerer that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Juli 2003 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Setting out von Johan Hendrik Kaemmerer zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.075,50 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Setting out das teuerste Kunstwerk von Johan Hendrik Kaemmerer, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
