The price achieved of GBP 30,550.00 (€ 49,021.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Other works by John Dalby have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2001 the work The Kill was auctioned for USD 47,000.00 (€ 55,463.77).
