The work Autumn by John Eyre was auctioned at Christies in London in January 2008. It achieved a price of GBP 1,625.00 (€ 2,178.38), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 63%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by John Eyre; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Great Hall, Royal Hospital, Chelsea sold at auction in July 2007 with the realized price of GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,564.55).

Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von John Eyre; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Great Hall, Royal Hospital, Chelsea im Juli 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 2.400,00 (€ 3.564,55).
