Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Farm Road; and Wheatstacks by John Eyre was auctioned at Christies in London in January 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 350.00 (€ 469.19) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by John Eyre have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Great Hall, Royal Hospital, Chelsea in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,564.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Farm Road; and Wheatstacks von John Eyre kam im Januar 2008 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 350,00 (€ 469,19) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Eyre auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Great Hall, Royal Hospital, Chelsea im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.400,00 (€ 3.564,55).
