Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Harbour Scene by John Minton was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Sothebys in London in December 2007. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 10,191.23) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Minton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jamaican Village in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 293,000.00 (€ 345,711.19).

Die Arbeit Harbour Scene von John Minton wurde im Dezember 2007 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 10.191,23) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Minton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jamaican Village im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 293.000,00 (€ 345.711,19).
