Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Myra Davis by John Minton was sold in the Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in November 2017. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,378.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Minton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jamaican Village in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 293,000.00 (€ 345,711.19).

Die Arbeit Portrait of Myra Davis von John Minton wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.378,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Minton erzielen.
