Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The White Chair by John Pawle was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in October 2004. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 956.00 (€ 1,375.95), 20% above the upper estimate. Other works by John Pawle have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 920.00 (€ 1,530.00) in March 2000 for the work Rue de la Paix.
