In April 2018 Christies in New York held the auction The Yamakawa Collection of Twentieth Century Photographs, which included the work Altered Landscapes: The Photographs Of John Pfahl by John Pfahl. The result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 16,564.52) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00.
