This artwork by Jonas Wood achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2021. In the 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale: Worlds In A Hand auction, the work Yellow Still Life with Grating sold for HKD 36,250,000.00 (€ 4,106,069.98) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 18,000,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jonas Wood; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Two Tables With Floral Pattern sold at auction in May 2021 with the realized price of USD 6,510,000.00 (€ 5,338,691.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jonas Wood erzielte im Dezember 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale: Worlds In A Hand wurde die Arbeit Yellow Still Life with Grating für HKD 36.250.000,00 (€ 4.106.069,98) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 18.000.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jonas Wood; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Two Tables With Floral Pattern im Mai 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 6.510.000,00 (€ 5.338.691,16).
