Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by José Gurvich could be acquired at Christies in New York in November 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Latin American Art Online auction, the work Untitled (Hombre y mujer) changed hands for USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,207.90) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by José Gurvich achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Estructura Con Figuras in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 150,000.00 (€ 128,534.70).

Dieses Kunstwerk von José Gurvich konnte im November 2018 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Latin American Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Untitled (Hombre y mujer) für USD 2.500,00 (€ 2.207,90) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von José Gurvich erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Estructura Con Figuras im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 150.000,00 (€ 128.534,70).
