This artwork by Josep Tapiró Baró achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in April 2017. In the The Orientalist Sale auction, the work Spanish the Holy Man sold for GBP 30,000.00 (€ 35,625.52) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Josep Tapiró Baró have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Moor In A Headdress in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 102,000.00 (€ 147,592.30).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Josep Tapiró Baró erzielte im April 2017 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Orientalist Sale wurde die Arbeit Spanish the Holy Man für GBP 30.000,00 (€ 35.625,52) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Josep Tapiró Baró auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Moor In A Headdress im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 102.000,00 (€ 147.592,30).
