This artwork by Josep Tapiró Baró achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in October 2005. In the Orientalist Art auction, the work Head of a Moor sold for USD 33,600.00 (€ 28,011.67) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Josep Tapiró Baró have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Moor In A Headdress in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 102,000.00 (€ 147,592.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Josep Tapiró Baró erzielte im Oktober 2005 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Orientalist Art wurde die Arbeit Head of a Moor für USD 33.600,00 (€ 28.011,67) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Josep Tapiró Baró auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Moor In A Headdress im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 102.000,00 (€ 147.592,30).
