Upper estimate price exceeded by 39 %.
The work Beuys at Büderich Memorial, Kleve 1959 by Joseph Beuys was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in April last year. It achieved a price of EUR 1,386.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 39 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Beuys achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Zeitpunkt: Das Massaker von Muenchen (Point of time: The Massacre of Munich) in February 2016 with an auction result of GBP 854,500.00 (€ 1,094,936.23).
