Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Foothills of Benledie, Scotland by Joseph Horlor for USD 1,200.00 (€ 875.21). This price was achieved in the auction House Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,800.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joseph Horlor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hauling in the nets (illustrated); and Fishermen on the coast, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 2,040.00 (€ 3,002.00).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Foothills of Benledie, Scotland von Joseph Horlor für USD 1.200,00 (€ 875,21) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion House Sale bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.800,00 – 2.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Joseph Horlor mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hauling in the nets (illustrated); and Fishermen on the coast beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 2.040,00 (€ 3.002,00) versteigert wurde.
