Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2001 Christies in London held the auction British & Continental Pictures, which included the work Companions by Jules LeRoy. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,232.50 (€ 3,599.07). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jules LeRoy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Kittens In A Sewing Box, which sold at auction in July 2001 for GBP 7,050.00 (€ 11,480.42).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion British & Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Companions von Jules LeRoy zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.232,50 (€ 3.599,07) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Jules LeRoy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Kittens In A Sewing Box beobachtet, die im Juli 2001 für GBP 7.050,00 (€ 11.480,42) versteigert wurde.
