In August 2002 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES, which included the work A cat with a bowl of milk by Jules LeRoy. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,292.50 (€ 2,039.85), 29% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jules LeRoy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Kittens In A Sewing Box in July 2001 with an auction result of GBP 7,050.00 (€ 11,480.42).

Im August 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit A cat with a bowl of milk von Jules LeRoy zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.292,50 (€ 2.039,85) und damit 29% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jules LeRoy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Kittens In A Sewing Box im Juli 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.050,00 (€ 11.480,42).
