Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2002 Christies in London held the auction NINETEENTH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART, which included the work A cat with a bowl of milk by Jules LeRoy. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,057.50 (€ 1,728.73) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jules LeRoy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Kittens In A Sewing Box in July 2001 with an auction result of GBP 7,050.00 (€ 11,480.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion NINETEENTH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit A cat with a bowl of milk von Jules LeRoy zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.057,50 (€ 1.728,73) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jules LeRoy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Kittens In A Sewing Box im Juli 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.050,00 (€ 11.480,42).
