In October 2010 Christies in Paris held the auction Le Haras d'Estimauville ; Oeuvres et Objets d'Art provenant des Collections Rothschild, which included the work La lettre by Jules LeRoy. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 112.50 41% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jules LeRoy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Kittens In A Sewing Box in July 2001 with an auction result of GBP 7,050.00 (€ 11,480.42).

Im Oktober 2010 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Le Haras d'Estimauville ; Oeuvres et Objets d'Art provenant des Collections Rothschild durch, in der auch die Arbeit La lettre von Jules LeRoy zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 112,50 und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jules LeRoy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Kittens In A Sewing Box im Juli 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.050,00 (€ 11.480,42).
