Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work a. Jeune garçon assise b. Petits cochons c. Cheval by Jules Pascin was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 2,520.00 (€ 2,964.54). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jules Pascin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Homme et femme (recto); Les robes claires (verso) in October this year with an auction result of GBP 302,400.00 (€ 347,239.21).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit a. Jeune garçon assise b. Petits cochons c.
