Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Six Papayas by Katherine Bernhardt was auctioned at Phillips in Hong Kong in May this year. The price achieved of HKD 368,300.00 (€ 44,144.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Katherine Bernhardt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in May last year with an auction result of HKD 3,150,000.00 (€ 373,972.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Six Papayas von Katherine Bernhardt kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 368.300,00 (€ 44.144,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Katherine Bernhardt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.150.000,00 (€ 373.972,60).
