Auction result misses estimated price range
In September last year a collector was able to acquire the work Doten (Paradise) by Ryozo Kato for USD 4,800.00 (€ 4,906.47). This price was achieved in the auction Japanese and Korean Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ryozo Kato achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work San Sui Kyo in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 525,000.00 (€ 64,121.38).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Doten (Paradise) von Ryozo Kato für USD 4.800,00 (€ 4.906,47) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Japanese and Korean Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ryozo Kato erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit San Sui Kyo im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 525.000,00 (€ 64.121,38).
