Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Japanese Art Online, which included the work A Full Length Portrait Of An Actor In A Dramatic Pose by Katsukawa Shunei. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,614.59). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Katsukawa Shunei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Two Sumo Wrestlers in May 2019 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,394.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Japanese Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Full Length Portrait Of An Actor In A Dramatic Pose von Katsukawa Shunei zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.614,59) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Katsukawa Shunei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Two Sumo Wrestlers im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.394,03).
