In November 2000 Christies in London held the auction WILDLIFE ART, which included the work Black Maned Lion by Kim Brooks. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 940.00 (€ 1,536.39), 57% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kim Brooks achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dawn Patrol in February this year with an auction result of GBP 44,100.00 (€ 50,301.95).

Im November 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion WILDLIFE ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Black Maned Lion von Kim Brooks zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 940,00 (€ 1.536,39) und damit 57% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kim Brooks erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dawn Patrol im Februar diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 44.100,00 (€ 50.301,95).
