The work Unknown by Kobayashi Kiyochika was sold in the Japanese Art Including Property of The Metropolitan Museum of Art auction at Christies in New York in March 2006. It achieved a price of USD 2,040.00 (€ 1,680.53), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 36%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kobayashi Kiyochika achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fudo Myoo in September 2004 with an auction result of USD 28,680.00 (€ 23,097.37).

Die Arbeit Unknown von Kobayashi Kiyochika wurde im März 2006 in der Auktion Japanese Art Including Property of The Metropolitan Museum of Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 2.040,00 (€ 1.680,53) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 36%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kobayashi Kiyochika erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fudo Myoo im September 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.680,00 (€ 23.097,37).
