Auction result well in line with expectations
The work FESTIVAL A.P. by Kumi Sugai was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2017. The price achieved of HKD 562,500.00 (€ 64,229.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 450,000.00 – 650,000.00. Admittedly, works by Kumi Sugai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work KAGURA (Sacred Music and Dance) in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 293,000.00 (€ 277,409.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit FESTIVAL A.P. von Kumi Sugai wurde im Mai 2017 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 562.500,00 (€ 64.229,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 450.000,00 – 650.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kumi Sugai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit KAGURA (Sacred Music and Dance) im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 293.000,00 (€ 277.409,58).
