The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 24,229.16) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Laila Shawa have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2007 the work Children of War, Children of Peace was auctioned for USD 38,400.00 (€ 29,024.94).
