This artwork by Le Pho achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in October last year. In the 20th/21st Century Art Online auction, the work Vase de fleurs (Flowers in a vase) sold for HKD 693,000.00 (€ 88,805.01) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 240,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Le Pho achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figures in a garden in April last year with an auction result of HKD 17,920,000.00 (€ 2,166,658.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Le Pho erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Online wurde die Arbeit Vase de fleurs (Flowers in a vase) für HKD 693.000,00 (€ 88.805,01) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 240.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Le Pho erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Figures in a garden im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 17.920.000,00 (€ 2.166.658,44).
