Auction result well in line with expectations
The work From Line 8103 by Lee Ufan was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2020. It changed hands for a price of HKD 3,625,000.00 (€ 397,167.49) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 2,000,000.00 – 4,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lee Ufan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work From Line, No. 760219 in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 2,165,000.00 (€ 1,740,633.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit From Line 8103 von Lee Ufan wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 3.625.000,00 (€ 397.167,49) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 2.000.000,00 – 4.000.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lee Ufan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit From Line, No. 760219 im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.165.000,00 (€ 1.740.633,54).
