Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work L'étang de Leucate by Leonid Berman was sold in the A Surreal Legacy: Selected works of art from The Edward James Foundation auction at Christies in London in December 2016. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,000.00 (€ 7,014.97), 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leonid Berman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Diabolo Players, which sold at auction in March 2021 for EUR 17,640.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit L'étang de Leucate von Leonid Berman wurde im Dezember 2016 in der Auktion A Surreal Legacy: Selected works of art from The Edward James Foundation bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 7.014,97) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Leonid Berman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Diabolo Players beobachtet, die im März 2021 für EUR 17.640,00 versteigert wurde.
