Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2015 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Contemporary Ink, which included the work Eight Owls by Li Fuyuan. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 35,000 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 40,000 (€ 4,626). Admittedly, works by Li Fuyuan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 225,000 (€ 19,553).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2015 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink durch, in der auch die Arbeit Eight Owls von Li Fuyuan zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 35.000 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 40.000 (€ 4.626) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Li Fuyuan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 225.000 (€ 19.553).
