Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Li Fuyuan could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Online auction, the work Yellow Monkeys changed hands for HKD 6,250 (€ 704) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 10,000 – 20,000. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Fuyuan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work in April 2011 with an auction result of HKD 225,000 (€ 19,553).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Li Fuyuan konnte im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Yellow Monkeys für HKD 6.250 (€ 704) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 10.000 – 20.000. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Li Fuyuan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 225.000 (€ 19.553).
